Organisation of training courses on Food Contact Materials for Administrators and Inspectors

This training workshop is targeting training for staff of the competent authorities responsible for drafting legislation and guidance to industry and trade and for setting up control plans.

Please note that there will be special courses of food contact materials applicable to authority staff only, including premises producing or importing food contact materials.

In order to better serve the needs of the training workshops, we have divided the trainings into 2 levels with the following criteria:

  • Workshop for Administrators Level 2 with more than 3 years experience (Training Course 2 in September)
  • Workshops for Inspectors  (Workshops in June, Sep & Oct)

The aim of the training is to ensure knowledge and a uniform approach to official controls and harmonized, fair procedures based on high levels of expertise and share experience and identify best practices.

The training will consist of theoretical and practical balanced sessions with emphasis on the practical sessions. The BTSF serves to harmonize and improve control practice in the participating countries in line with the respective EC regulations.  It is not a framework for training on national legislation.

Training will therefore focus on:

-     The relevant EC rules

-     Best practice for implementation at national level

-         Best practice for practical application and control at individual level

-         Networking
